Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine-Technology Business Incubator (IIIM-TBI) undertakes manpower training in the following key areas:

Applications are invited for six months, four months, three months and two months dissertation training programme from the students pursuing M.Sc / M.Pharma / B.Pharma / B.Tech / B.Sc in any branch of Life Sciences / Biological Sciences / Chemical Sciences from
Universities/Institutions/Colleges of repute to carry out their project. In addition to laboratory training, the candidates will be exposed to information about practical applications, scientific ethics, and good laboratory practices in life sciences. At the end of training, candidates are required to present their work to the scientific community and make proper report and submit it to TBI.

Fee: The Training Fee for the program is Rs 5000/- per month (In no case training period to be less than 60 days).

Lodging/Boarding: We have only limited on-campus accommodation. The request for accommodation is taken only on first-come-first-serve basis and subject to availability. The request for accommodation may be considered only for students coming from outstation especially girl students. Trainees seeking accommodation will have to request in advance and only upon payment in advance, the accommodation will be confirmed.

Six-Month Research Training at RCB, Haryana

Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) is an institution of national importance, created by an Act of Parliament, established by Government of India through the Department of Biotechnology under the auspices of UNESCO. 

RCB has emerged as a pioneering institute for research in Biotechnology and is defining new horizons in providing excellent education, training and research at the interface of multiple disciplines for the benefit of mankind. RCB has a strong commitment to exploring new frontiers, furthering science and connecting revolutionary areas of Biotechnology through cutting-edge research.

Applications are invited for six-month research training from final year graduate and postgraduate science students of Universities/ Institutions/ Colleges for the session commencing from January 2020 (January-June 2020). 

The terms and conditions will be as follows: 

1. The candidates must be in final year of graduation or postgraduate level with strong interest in research. 
2. The candidates will have to make their own local arrangements for stay and other logistics.

For UG and PG, Indian Academy of Science, INSA & NASI Summer Research Fellowship Programme 2020


The national Science Academies offer you several two-month Summer Fellowships to allow students/teachers (studying/teaching in India) to work with scientists related to the 3 Academies during 2020. A copy of the application format, instructions to applicants such as eligibility criteria, and a list of names of scientists/faculty that have agreed to direct students/teachers to work on short term projects are displayed in the online application.
Applications are invited from interested teachers and students from all colleges and universities affiliated to UGC/AICTE/MCI/Accredited Institutions of State Universities for these Fellowships. The application should comprise: (a) the application form in the prescribed format; (b) scanned copies of marks sheets from class X till the previous examination; (c) that a write-up (in roughly 150-250 words) regarding what the applicant would like to learn and achieve. Student applicants must provide the email id of one of their teachers or HoD familiar with their work. The Academy will approach them to get a recommendation letter in the prescribed format. The chosen candidate must work with the assigned guide for two months any time during the calendar year, preferably during summertime.
Applications should be submitted by logging on one of our sites [www.ias.ac.inhttp://www.insaindia.res.in and www.nasi.org.in]. The registration number assigned soon after the online submission has to be quoted in all future correspondence.

Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students (CSSS)

Online application for “Central Sector Scheme for Scholarship for College and University Students” for the Academic year 2019-20 is available on National Scholarship Portal (http://scholarships.gov.in) as per the following schedule:
1. Closing date of receipt of applications 31.10.2019
2. Last date of verification of applications by the Institutions 15.11.2019
3. Last date of verification of applications by the State Education Board 30.11.2019
In light of above, all students who had applied on National Scholarship Portal and received/ yet to receive the scholarship for Fresh 2018, 1st renewal 2017, 2nd renewal 2016 and 3rd renewal 2015 and students who are in the Top 20th percentile of the respective Boards and who wish to apply for fresh 2019 scholarship are advised to apply online on National Scholarship Portal for fresh & respective renewal scholarship on or before the last date i.e. 31.10.2019. 
All the candidates are advised to apply online within the stipulated time and get their online applications verified by the institutions (if required show the original documents to institute) else the application would be treated as INVALID. Students applying for the scholarships are requested to go through the guidelines of

Wildlife Institute of India Project Scientist/Associate Openings in Ecology/Genetics


The Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun invites application forms for engaging the Project Personnel for the Consultancy Project entitled “Preparation of Conservation Plan for Biodiversity likely to be Impacted by Greenfield Jewar International Airport, Gautam Budha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh” purely on contractual basis. The project is funded by Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), Government of Uttar Pradesh. 
The period of recruitment will be for six months (06 months), which is most likely to be extended based on the candidate’s performance and project needs. The EQ, DQ, age, monthly emoluments and other details of the Project Personnel are as provided below:

Summer Research Fellowship Programme, Indian Academy of Sciences

A. General

1) Application should be submitted online in the prescribed format. This link is available in the websites of the three Academies (www.ias.ac.in; www.insaindia.res.in; www.nasi.org.in).

2) Its mandatory to upload the marks sheets from class X till the last examination. Please have the scanned versions of mark sheets (in JPEG format), before starting to fill up the application.

 
3) Only one application per candidate will be considered. If more than one application is submitted, none of the applications will be considered.

4) Answers to columns indicated by an asterisk (*) are mandatory and must be filled.

5) The last date for receipt of applications online is 30 November 2019.

B. Eligibility criteria

6a) Applicants should be studying in one of the following:

Teachers

6b) Teachers must be teaching in a College/University.

7) The minimum percentage of average marks in core subjects only (i.e. excluding languages) from X std. up to post-graduation (whichever years completed) should be 65% or above for students.The minimum Percentage of average marks does not apply for teachers.

8) PhD students are not eligible.

9) Applicants who have availed the Academies fellowship twice before are not eligible to apply.

C. Contents

10) The applicant should include a write-up (about 150–250 words) as to the specific area of the applicant and indicate what he/she would like to learn and achieve through this fellowship. It can also include the specific experiment or theory that the applicant wants to work on but NOT a general description of the area. The write-up should not be a "copy and paste" job from any source.

11) Do not use special/scientific characters like Ø Ü etc...as the software will prevent you from uploading the application with such characters.

D. Enclosures to application

12) Both student and teacher applicants must upload scanned versions of mark sheets from class X till the last examination in JPEG Format (the size of each marks sheet should not exceed 700 kb).

13) Teacher applicants should upload their publications, if any. On selection, an authorization letter from the Principal/HoD that necessary permission/leave of absence will be granted should be sent by post to the Coordinator, SRFP 2020, Indian Academy of Sciences, Bengaluru 560 080.

E. Other matters

14) Student applicants must upload the contact details of one of their present teachers or the Head of the Department (HoD). The Academy will get in touch with the teacher and obtain the recommendation letter.

15) All decisions regarding the selection of candidates will be at the sole discretion of the Academies. Any grievance or dispute concerning SRFP 2020 shall be addressed to the Academy whose decision thereon shall be final.

16) If a candidate is found at any point of time to have submitted false information, his/her fellowship will be cancelled, and he/she will be asked to pay back the fellowship amount/travel allowance etc. that has been paid to him/her. Further his/her guide and the Institution in which he/she is currently studying will be informed of the matter.

17) Without prejudice to 15) above, only the courts at Bengaluru city shall be the fora for seeking judicial remedy, if any, for any dispute or grievance.

F. Notes

18) Academy means Indian Academy of Sciences, Bengaluru. Academies mean Indian Academy of Sciences (Bengaluru), Indian National Science Academy (New Delhi), and The National Academy of Sciences, India (Prayagraj).

19) Guide means a person from the list of scientists/faculty approved by the Academies as guides.

“Augmenting Writing Skills for Articulating Research (AWSAR)” is an initiative of Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. It endeavors to disseminate Indian research stories of
Science, Technology & Innovation being pursued in the country in a format that is easy to understand and interesting for all the stakeholders. DST invites lucid stories from PhD scholars and Post Doctor Fellows (PDF) with an aim to strengthen the ecosystem of science communication and inculcate scientific temperament in society.
