UNESCO/UNITWIN Interregional Network on PhD Education and Research in Biophysics, Biotechnology and Environmental Health
CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
In 2017 UNESCO established "UNESCO/UNITWIN Interregional Network on PhD Education and Research in Biophysics, Biotechnology and Environmental Health" at Life Sciences International Postgraduate Educational Center.
The NETWORK is organized in partnership with the following universities:
- Institute for Health and the Environment of University at Albany (USA),
- Stony Brook University (USA),
- Graduate School of Biological Sciences at Southampton University (UK),
- Bogomoletz Institute of Physiology (Ukraine),
- Cairo University (Egypt),
- Istanbul Medeniyet University (Turkey),
- UNESCO Chair on Interdisciplinary Research in Diabetes at University of Tehran (Iran),
- Jamia Hamdard University (India).
The duration of PhD program is minimum 3 years depending on the subject of investigation and background education.

The annual (Tuition/Course) fee for Indian students enrolled in Ph.D. program runs in School of Chemical & Life Sciences (SCLS) is Rs.60,000/- while this annual fee for Ph.D. program carried out in Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (HIMSR) is Rs.100,000/-.
The annual (Tuition/Course) fee for International/Sponsored and NRI category students enrolled in LIFE SCIENCES INTERNATIONAL POSTGRADUATE EDUCATIONAL CENTER UNESCO CHAIR IN LIFE SCIENCES Ph.D. program runs in SCLS is US $ 6000/- or equivalent Indian Rupee. It is US $ 6000/- for Ph.D. program carried out in HIMSR.

The selected applicant will have an opportunity to participate in the “Workshop on Modern problems of Biophysics, Biotechnology and Environmental Health” which will be held during August 6-8, Garni, Armenia. Their participation will be free of charge.
For the 2018-2019 academic years the deadline of applications is June 30, 2018.
