workshop in Entrepreneurship Opportunity in Quality Meat Production, Processing & Value Addition at IVRI

Objective s : -

  • Development of entrepreneurs & start - ups through quality meat production, processing & value addition.
  • Skill development in the field of quality meat production, processing & value addition 


Course Covers : -

  • Selection of animals /poultry for meat purpose 

  • Clean meat production by hygienic slaughter, cutting and packaging 

  • Processing of meat for emulsion, enrobed, restructured, cured, smoked, shelf stable, convenience and traditional meat products 

  • Establishment of meat processing plant and its requirements 

  •  Basic tools and equipment of meat processing pilot plants and their handling 

  •  Visit to animal farms viz: sheep, goat, poultry and pig reared for meat production 

  •  Visit to modern abattoir/slaughter house 

  • Interaction with state food safety officers and other regulating agencies. 

  • Business plan and project report preparation 

  • How to start your own business
Who Should Attend? -Any literate youth who want to take it as Start-up, Business or Career 

Programme Fee
